Fourteen

I stand outside of the maid’s little white house with black shutters around the windows. I watch her gather her groceries out of the trunk of her car. I followed her from the Shaw’s house to the store then home.

I glance down at the clock in my car and see I have to get back to Downers Grove soon to be able to pick up the twins from school.

Watching the maid move around, I make note of where she lives. I don’t trust her. I believe she heard way more than she let on and I can’t have her yapping at the mouth.

After picking up the twins, I try to calm myself as they continue to fight one another in the backseat of my car.

While at a red light, I glance through my rearview mirrors and give them a pep talk.

“You two are twins. I thought twins were supposed to be close. Why do you two seem to fight each other all the time?” I ask wondering what their responses would be.

Randi is the first to speak. “She gets on my nerves. I should have had a twin brother not a twin sister.”

I watch as Raina licks her tongue out and says, “I should have had a twin sister.”

Shaking my head in disbelief, I continue driving until we arrived at the mansion.

Settling the kids in for the night, after helping them with their homework, and feeding and bathing them, I couldn’t wait to creep out for an hour or two.

Mrs. Shaw was out doing her own little thing. She barely comes home when Mr. Shaw is out of town on business. That gave me more than enough time to do what I needed to do while they were out.

I step out of Raina’s room after making sure she was tucked in. Once I close the door and turn around, Junior is standing in front of me grinning from ear to ear.

“You ready?” he asks very impatiently. He looks like a kid that just won a prize toy from a festival.

“Ready, for what?” I step past him, heading down the stairs, acting as if I have no idea what he’s talking about.

He runs past me, beating me down the stairs. He stands at the bottom of the last step, and says, “Ready for all of this,” as he gropes himself.

“Oh, that,” I laugh, playing it off, and continue walking down the stairs.

“Hell yeah, you promised me,” he reminds me.

Moving in closer to him, I lean in, standing on my toes, and kiss him with passion.

Releasing him from our kiss, I look directly into his eyes and say, “Junior, I have an emergency. My ex-roommate called me. She was beaten up by her boyfriend and wants me to come pick her up and give her a few dollars. I’ll drop her off at a motel and be right back.” I lie, hoping he buys it.

He frowns up his face, smirking, probably at the thought he won’t be able to get any of my hotness tonight.
